What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a therapeutic touch treatment used to facilitate healing, improve circulation, promote relaxation and release tension from the body. Reflexology is a science based on the principle that there are reflexes in the hands and feet which correspond to all the glands, organs and parts of the body. The feet therefore, are a mirror image of the entire body. When the specific reflex points are properly stimulated by a trained Reflexologist, the corresponding body parts are balanced.

Is Reflexology New?
The art of Reflexology is an ancient healing technique over 5000 years old. The first written reference to reflexology was found on the wall painting in the tomb of Ankhmahor (highest official after the King of Egypt) at Saqqara, Egypt and is known as the Physician's tomb. The date is about 2330 B.C. Reflexology as we know it today was first researched and developed by the pioneer in this field, Eunice Ingham. Her first book, "Stories the Feet Can Tell" was published in 1938. Her nephew, Dwight C. Byers continued her work as the Director of the International Institute of Reflexology. The Ingham Method of Reflexology is the Standard on a worldwide scale!
Can Reflexology make a condition worse?
NO, it will not make any condition more acute. Foot reflexology helps nature to normalize body functions. A series of Reflexology sessions release the stress that can affect your health. It is a safe, effective way to better health.
Who can have a Reflexology session?
Because Reflexology is such a gentle but effective treatment, anyone can have a session. Babies, children, pregnant mothers, elderly, the sick, and anyone who is stressed. It has been used for hospice care and in the treatment of the terminally ill to bring relaxation to them.
What is a Reflexology Session Like?
Imagine this: You are in a softly lit room with soothing music, then you lie comfortably, quietly on a heated massage table, with only your shoes and stockings removed. Your feet receive a light rubdown and specific reflexology pressure and movements are applied to the reflexes in your feet. Every area and system in your body start to relax and begins to heal. An aromatherapy mist is applied to your feet with relaxing strokes and you begin to reach a calming state.
When the session ends you feel relaxed and rejuvenated!
